|Annual Alumni Appeal
| Scott Anhalt '85, takes time to catch up with classmates
Every year, starting 7 years after you graduated, you probably received a phone call from one of your former classmates or a current student of Roncalli High School asking for your support. Roncalli currently has over 285 students and tuition alone only covers a portion of the cost of educating them. It is through the many fundraising activities, including the Alumni Appeal that Roncalli is able to continue to provide the quality education it offers. About 60% of students currently attending Roncalli receive financial assistance. In 2016/2017, $575,000 was awarded in tuition aid and discounts. So, next time one of your former fellow classmates or a current student calls, catch up on old news or ask about what's new at Roncalli. And please consider continuing the great Roncalli tradition for future graduates by pledging your gift to the Annual Appeal. To make a secure donation online, go to the Roncalli website at www.roncallijets.net and click on the DONATIONS box tab or call 920-686-8145 to pledge your donation to help continue the dream.
|Students Participate in March For Life
20 Roncalli students will be participating in the March For Life on January 26th in Washington, D.C. Taylor Geiger, Roncalli's Campus Minister, will be taking the group by bus to participate in the March. They will also be attending a Mass for Life, touring the National Basilica, John Paul II Museum, and Catholic University of America Campus. Two of Roncalli's Senior students were asked to reflect on their reason for attending the March. Heather LeClair said "At the moment of conception, a new human being is formed who possesses an undeniable dignity because they are made in God's image. The March for Life and pro life movement gives a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves and fights for their opportunity to experience life." Jennifer Grajek wanted to participate because she feels "the pro life movement does not only advocate against the legalization of abortions, but to defend all human life from conception until natural death. Going to the March for Life allows students and adults to promote a message of life and love to the world. We wish them well on their venture.

|33rd Annual Roncalli Pierside Auction
We are busy getting ready for this year's Pierside Auction to make it another night of food, fun, and fundraising. Your participation is vitally important to Roncalli since all proceeds from this event benefit tuition assistance and the academic and spiritual growth of Roncalli students. We plan to have over 60 oral auction listings including such great items as trips, jewelry, Packer memorabilia, and wonderful dinners at local restaurants. We also have over 1700 silent auction items from sports, to children, to "Everything Roncalli" and more. To keep informed, watch our "Pierside Auction" tab on our website for more information on a great evening. If you can't make it to the event, but still want to participate, consider purchasing a cash raffle ticket. Prizes range from $500 up to the grand prize of $10,000! For more information, see our raffle flyer.
|Roncalli Remembers Their "#1 Jets Fan"
Nick Aerts, 25, a long-time super-supporter of Roncalli sports, passed away on December 21st due to complications with MELAS disease. Although Nick did not attend Roncalli, he had formed a bond in grade school with many students who would eventually attend Roncalli. According to his father Steven, "Roncalli was very cherished in his life. It was the primary part of his life, he lived and loved Roncalli." Following Aerts' passing, word spread via social media. The student sections from both schools wore blue in his honor and a moment of silence was held for Nick at the next boys basketball game against Valders. A plaque in his honor will be placed in the trophy case outside the Roncalli gym. Nick will be truly missed by many. For full story, see the article in the Herald-Times Reporter.
